IBPS Common Written Exam Clerks 2014 Notification (Last Date 03rd September)

IBPS invites applications for the next Common Written Examination as a pre-requisite for selection of Clerical cadre posts in the Participating Organisations listed below will be conducted online tentatively in December 2014.

Any eligible candidate, who aspires to join Public Sector Bank as a Clerk or in a similar post in that cadre, is required to register for the CWE Clerks – IV. Candidates who appear and are shortlisted in the examination, will subsequently be called for a Common Interview by the Participating Organisations and co-ordinated by IBPS.

I) Eligibility Criteria (As On 01.08.2014)
i) Age (As on 01.08.2014): Minimum 20 years – Maximum 28 years
i.e. a candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1985 and not later than 01.08.1993 (both dates inclusive)
Upper Age Relaxation Limit applicable for SC / ST / OBC candidates is allowed on cumulative basis.
ii) Educational Qualifications: Candidate should be a Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
Computer Literacy: Applicant should have working and operating knowledge in computer systems, and a certificate in computer operations.

II) Written Examination
i) IBPS CWE Clerk III is a 200 marks written exam and a total time of 120 minutes.
Test Topics & Examination Structure which will be conducted online is as follows:

Other than the Test of English Language, the test will be available bilingually, i.e. English and Hindi.

ii) Penalty for Wrong Answers
One fourth or 0.25 of the marks will be deducted as penalty for each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate
If a question is left blank, there will be no penalty for that question.

Score Calculation : The corrected scores (correct answers – negative marks) obtained by each candidates will be normalized using equipercentile method.
Please Note – Mobile Phones, Pagers and Calculators are not allowed inside the examination premises.

Interview
Candidates who have been shortlisted in the examination for CWE Clerks-III will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Participating Banks.
Total marks allotted for Interview are 100 and minimum qualifying marks will be 40 percent. The weightage (ratio) of CWE (exam) and interview will be 80:20.

Application fees Rs.600 (General) and Rs.100 (SC/ST) with the option of paying it through

How to Apply :
i) Online (from Aug 12 – Sept 01) : Candidate can visit IBPS website & click on the online application to fill the necessary details. After form submission, you would be directed to the online fee payment gateway. Pay the appropriate fee amount using online payment option, after completing the transaction, print the generated e-receipt
On successful submission of application, a registration number & password would be shown that has to be noted.

ii) Offline (from Aug 14 – Sept 03) : Login to IBPS website & visit IBPS common exam webpage to fill the online application. On submitting the application, note the generated Reg.no & password (also will be sent to your Email/ SMS)
Take a print of the challan that shall be generated after the above step.
From the 2nd day after registration deposit the fees at any branch of BOB, BOI, Bank of Maharashtra, PNB, IOB, United bank of India or Central Bank of India using the printed challan.
As a confirmation of paying fees, you will receive Email/SMS after 2 days.
The facility to print the filled-in application form would be enabled after 3 days of fee payment.
