IBPS Recruitment 2014 – DGM Legal & Law Officer

IBPS (Institute Of Banking Personnel Selection) invites applications for the post of DGM Legal & Law Officer.

Eligibility Criteria

1) Age, Educational Qualifications & Work Experience

I DGM (Legal) Maximum – 62 Years
Candidate born after 02nd July 1952 (date inclusive)
Bachelor Degree in Law (LLB) and enrolled as an advocate with Bar Council. Candidate should be enrolled as an advocate with Bar Council and minimum 5 to 7 years experience of practice at Bar or Judicial service or experience with reputed solicitor firm and / or 10 years as a Law Officer in the Legal Dept of a Scheduled Commercial Bank or the Central/State Government or of a Public Sector Undertaking.
II Law Officer Minimum – 20 Years &
Maximum 35 years
Candidate born after 02nd July 1979 and before 01st July 1994 (both dates inclusive)
Bachelor Degree in Law (LLB) and enrolled as an advocate with Bar Council. Candidate should be enrolled as an advocate with Bar Council and minimum 3 years experience of practice at Bar or Judicial service or experience with reputed solicitor firm and / or 10 years as a Law Officer in the Legal Dept of a Scheduled Commercial Bank or the Central/State Government or of a Public Sector Undertaking.

2) Other Skills – Candidates should have Certificate in Computer Operations.

Appointment Terms
Appointment will be on deputation / on lien or on contract basis. The initial period will be of 2 years subject to quarterly review and may be renewed subsequently subject to performance.

Job Profile
• Candidate will be handling references on legal issues and preparing initial drafts of legislation to be administered by the Institute.
• Candidate will handle all Court cases from filing the case to the final Court order and follow up about cases with the concerned advocates.
• Draft Affidavits, Counter Affidavit, Para-wise comments/reply and regular consultation on various legal issues.
• Provide details on matters related to the employment criteria, reservations etc. in public sector organisations.
• Respond to legal matter received from the candidates / candidate’s advocates, show cause notices from the statutory authorities.
• Draft contracts, Vetting of contracts, amending contracts and managing employee / labour matters.
• Replying candidate queries and all legal / industrial relation matter assigned by the Institute.
