SBI PO Recruitment 2014 Eligibility FAQs – Can Final Year Graduates / Engineers Apply

The registrations for State Bank of India Probationary Officers Recruitment 2014 have started from 07th April 2014 and will be open till the 25th April 2014. For all those who did not get through IBPS Provisional Allotments, this the best news which they could have expected. Banking Job aspirants are looking forward to submit their applications and a have a lot of queries regarding the Eligibility Criteria. Freshers Graduates and Engineers want to clear their doubts regarding Age, Qualification and Selection Procedure.

To help you and make things easier, we have listed down the FAQs and try to clear all your doubts, and if there are any queries which still remains unanswered, do leave a comment and we will revert as soon as possible.

Eligibility & Qualifications
1) Can Final year students apply for SBI PO?
A) Yes, Final Year / Semester students may appy for the recruitment. Please remember you need to provide a proper proof of passing on or before the 08th August 2014.

2) Can Students with Gap in Education apply?
A) Yes, even if you have a Gap in Education, you may apply, provided you have completed your Graduation (or studying for final sem).

3) Can Engineering Students Apply?
A) Yes Engineering Students may also apply.

4) Is there a percentage criteria?
A) The good thing is that there is no percentage limit specified, so if you have passed in Graduation, you can apply.

5) Can Diploma holders Apply?
A) You need to have a 12+3 degree, so diploma holders cannot apply.

6) Is there any Age Relaxation?
A) Yes, there is an Age Relaxation for ST / SC (5 Years) / OBC (3 Years) / PWD (10 years Gen).

      Selection will be done on the basis of an Online Written Exam (Objective Type) + Descriptive Test and Interview.

    1. Mahendra’s Institute & Bankersadda is good if you are located in Northern India. You can opt for any of the two.

  5. sir… i m a b.tech graduate… at the time of filling the sbi po form .. i have selected the stream of graduate as science…

    is it ok… or should i fill another form.. i haven’t paid the exam fee yet..

      You fill up another form, Graduate Science would be B.Sc.

  6. If I’ve completed Diploma after +2, am I eligible to apply for this post??

    1. No, you need to be a Graduate (12+3)
