RBI Recruitment 2014 – Grade B Officers 117 Posts

Recruitment Notification to the post of Officers in Gr ‘B’ (General), Reserve Bank of India (RBI Bank) invites applications from Indian citizens, for the post of Officers in Gr ‘B’ (General). Candidates are requested to apply only online through Bank’s website, No other mode for submission of application is available.

1) Important Dates :
Online Registration of Application – 03rd June 2014 to 23rd June 2014
Number of Vacancies – 117

2) Eligibility Criteria :
(a) Age : Between 21 and 30 years (candidates must have been born not earlier than 02/06/1984 and not later than 01/06/1995).

(b) Educational Qualifications :
i) A First Class Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent grade; OR
ii) A Second Class Master’s Degree with minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade; OR
iii) A Doctorate Degree; with minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent grade; OR
iv) Chartered Accountant (CA) / Cost Accountant (ICWA) / Company Secretary (ACS) with a Bachelor’s Degree; OR
v) A Post Graduate Diploma in Management / MBA qualification from institutions recognized by Government of India / University Grants Commission, with Graduation / Bachelor’s Degree.

3) Application Fee (NON-REFUNDABLE) : General / OBC – 850/- (Rupees Eight Hundred & Fifty only)
ST / SC / PWD – 100/- (Rupees One Hundred only)

4) Selection Procedure: Selection of candidates will be done through Examinations and Interview.

Exams will be held in 2 phases:
Phase I – Online Test (Objective Type)
Phase II – Written Exam (Descriptive Type)

(I) Online Test (Objective Type): The Objective Type questions will consist of :-
i) General Awareness
ii) English Language
iii) Quantitative Aptitude
iv) Reasoning

This Paper is for 200 marks with composite time of 130 minutes and will be on 2nd and 3rd August & 09th and 10th August 2014. Candidates securing minimum required marks for each Test, will only be shortlisted for Phase II of the Examination.

(II) Written Exam (Descriptive Type): This Exam will consist of 3 Descriptive Type papers :-
(i) Paper I – English
(ii) Paper II – Economic and Social Issues
(iii) Paper III – Finance and Management.

Each of these papers is of 3 hours duration carrying 100 marks and will be held in September / October 2014 (tentative).

(III) Interview: Candidates will be short-listed for interview depending on the aggregate marks obtained only in Phase II.

Please Note: Final selection of candidate will depend on the performance in Phase II of the Exam and Interview taken together.

5) Pay Scale : Candidates will draw a starting basic pay of 21,000/- p.m. and they will also be eligible for Allowance. Currently initial monthly Gross emoluments are approximately `51,517/-.
Selected candidates are liable to be posted and transferred anywhere in India.
